Negative Effects of Globalization on Education

The world gets smaller and smaller with the effects of globalization. It has transformed human society in a vast number of areas, and now it's argued that globalization has even affected education. For example, politicians from India have expressed their concern over foreign investments in education which they say will hamper the country's social and economic conditions.

In their view, the globalization of education will mean that many of the poorer students will no longer be able to afford it, hence, depriving them of their right to education. Privatization and commercialization of the education sector has meant that private players will have greater influence over professional education, while the poor will be shunned from accessing it. So far, the education sector has failed to keep up with the population growth of India, especially for the impoverished.
