Youtube Extending Globalization
YouTube is now reaching more people than ever, by adding 4 additional languages to their website. This provides individuals with a unique opportunity to search, watch and upload videos in a range of languages. The effects of globalization in this way, means that our world is becoming more and more closer and united, where freedom of speech is not only given to those who can speak and read English, but also extends to other mother tongues.
There are currently now 28 officially supported languages that have been adapted into YouTube's script translator. This can be translated into 50 other languages with the ability to add subtitles on any video being watched. YouTube hopes that this will create and encourage more individuals uploading and downloading from the website around the world without the barrier of languages stopping them.
